MENNEKES and VP Solar: solutions for solar and e-car
VP Solar became distributor of Mennekes solutions for e-mobility, with the idea to provide complete energy systems to its resellers and installers.
MENNEKES is a German company, with a leading position in manufacturing smart charging station for e-vehicle.
The partnership with VP Solar is oriented to select and train a selected group of professional installers of energy systems.
VP Solar, involved in distribution of energy systems from 1999, is serving about 3.000 companies in Italy and International markets, providing them high quality products and services.
In the first sessions of training about Mennekes solutions, about 200 professional installers partecipated, opening new perspectives of business, very synergistic with photovoltaic and storage energy systems.
Reduce energy costs
MENNEKES charging stations offer the opportunity for reducing energy costs or maximizing the use of home-generated solar energy.
Recharge up with electricity when the rate is most favorable. It’s completely automatic.
If you do not want to incur any additional energy costs, you can simply charge with the electricity from your solar panels.
APP control:
Time-controlled charging
If your energy supplier offers different electricity tariffs at different times of day, then you can define two time zones in the MENNEKES Charge APP, set these zones to the preferred electricity rates and define maximum charge rates per zone.
Thus you can ensure that you always charge at the best electricity rate.
Network-controlled charging
The increasing use of regenerative energy frequently results in an over-supply of energy, since regenerative energies are only available when nature wants them to be available.
To reduce this over-supply the electric utilities want to connect up power consumers as needed.
In general, your electric utility makes a more favorable electricity rate available at such times.
Grid-control function
Using the grid-control function, your home charging station can be controlled by your electricity provider.
Modern solar power systems can intelligently control electrical equipment and batteries in order to reduce energy costs.

Mennekes: charging columns Basic – Smart
The charging columns and the Basic wall charging stations allow charging in mode 3 with type 2 socket </strong > Mennekes with shutter.
Both have a pleasant appearance and are manufactured with electro-galvanized sheet steel casings available in three color variants: black RAL 9005 (SW), silver RAL 9006 (SI) and Yellow RAL 1021 (GE). All are with degree of protection IP 44.

MENNEKES: charging connector mode 2
I veicoli elettrici vengono ricaricati normalmente in modalità 3, poiché questa è la modalità di ricarica più sicura.
Quando si è per strada e non è disponibile un infrastruttura per la ricarica in modalità 3, la modalità 2 conforme a IEC 61851 è l‘alternativa più sicura.
La ricarica avviene tramite una comune presa domestica o industriale (spina a muro SCHUKO® o CEE), ma il cavo in modalità 3 integra le funzioni di protezione e controllo nel Cable Control and Protecting Device (IC-CPD).
Questo tipo di cavo unisce la praticità di un dispositivo mobile con un aumentato del livello di protezione (SPE-PRCD) attraverso un dispositivo di comunicazione con il veicolo (modulo PWM) oltre al dispositivo SPE-PRCD che controlla permanentemente la connessione del conduttore di terra ed il modulo PWM comunica la corrente massima di carica.
In caso di anomalie, la ricarica viene interrotta così da proteggere veicolo e utilizzatore. I cavi Mennekes in modalità 2 superano i requisiti normativi offrendo funzioni aggiuntive, rendendo sicura e semplice la ricarica in modalità 2.

Mennekes: mode 3 charging cable
Il connettore di ricarica standard nell’Unione Europea sia lato veicolo che lato infrastruttura denominato di tipo 2 sviluppato da Mennekes in Germania gestisce tutte le altre classi di potenza esistenti: dalla tensione monofase 230 V alternata che si trova nei normali ambienti domestici al collegamento trifase con corrente fino a 63 A.
Con questo connettore di ricarica, a seconda se si è in presenza di tensione monofase o trifase si possono trasmettere potenze da 3,7 kW a 43,5 kW (con dimensioni simili alla spina cee 16 A tradizionale).
Vista la completa architettura di sicurezza elettronica, il connettore Mennekes tipo 2 non ha protezione meccanica da contatto così da ottenere un connettore durevole, robusto e che non necessita di manutenzione.
