SMA has signed contracts for O&M’s two photovoltaic plants in Chile. That two are large plants, about 180MW, and bring SMA’s portfolio even greater experience with their photovoltaic inverters.
SMA technology to help photovoltaic development in South America
The two plants are located in Chile, one at Javiera with a power of about 70MW and one at Atacama with a power of 110MW.
“Our Chile projects are a key strategic part of SMA’s global investment aimed at providing complete solutions to both private and commercial PV owners who use SMA and non-inverters. We are proud of the expansion of O & M’s services in South America, enabling us to extend our global presence, “said Chuck Smith, Executive Vice President of SMA Service, Service Americas. “We are pleased to collaborate with Atlas as a strategic O & M partner in Chile and to support their efforts to further develop the photovoltaic sector in South America.”
Through various O&M agreements, SMA currently manages more than 2.5GW of photovoltaic plants in Germany, California, USA and Ulm.
These photovoltaic systems are equipped with SMA Monitoring Centers.
SMA is a world leader in the photovoltaic inverter market
The range of products offered is very wide and allows to meet the needs of any type of photovoltaic system, from small residential to large plant utilities.
The quality of the products is guaranteed and the use of inverters in similar situations to Chile plants also strengthens its reliability.
The range of technologies offered does not only stop at photovoltaic inverters, but there are also storage systems for photovoltaic systems and monitoring systems.
