SMA Home Storage batteries can be combined with SMA hybrid inverters and the system can be expanded with up to 5 battery modules in series, for a maximum capacity of 16.4 kWh. The storage system can also be expanded with additional battery modules at a later date, within two years of the first installation.
They are characterized by a slim and stackable design and can be mounted in multiple ways: on the floor, on the wall or back-to-back. The IP65 protection rating also allows for outdoor installation.
Installation is facilitated by the Plug-and-Play design with the supplied pre-assembled cables and by the automatic commissioning.
