Every charging columns and MENNEKES Basic wall charging stations are equipped with type 2 charging sockets with shutter . With them it is possible to recharge electric vehicles with communication interface in mode 3 . The shutter meets the requirements of high contact protection IP XXD.
The columns are equipped with two sockets for the simultaneous charging of two vehicles while the wall stations with only one. The powers available vary between 3.7 kW single-phase to 22 kW three-phase.
Both have an automatic release function of the charging plug in the event of a power failure. In the vehicle, the connector remains locked until the driver activates the Stop function . Once charging is complete, the plug can be easily removed while the shutter immediately closes automatically so that the contacts are protected again.
The authorization to activate the charge can take place with a key-operated button or by an external impulse or external continuous signal sent for example by a keyboard or an automatic parking meter. A indicator light lights up green during the charging process.
Each charging point is designed for the insertion of a Smart Meter . This means that eHZ meters that are not included in the basic scope of delivery can be used at any time.
