Sungrow, always trying to satisfy all kinds of market demands, has recently updated the compatibility of its SH 15/20/25 T hybrid inverters for multi-inverter parallel applications.
This update enables the use of SH-T inverters also in large-scale C&I systems. Let’s see how.
Sungrow SH-T: a more flexible and powerful system
With the integration of a new software, it is now possible to connect up to 8 SH-T hybrid inverters with storage and up to 5 CX or CX-P2 series inverters within the same system, using the COM100E/D-EU logger for communication (see image on the left).
Previously, it was only possible to connect up to 4 SH-T inverters in parallel with retrofit options for existing systems, monitoring via Winet-S2 (one per inverter), and with a maximum storage capacity of 320 kWh. This configuration is still available and remains useful for retrofit installations.
However, this update allows the creation of large-scale C&I systems with storage, increasing the system capacity to 640 kWh.
Conditions to meet
To take advantage of this new configuration, certain conditions must be met:
- SH-T inverters must be of the same size
- SH-T inverters can be connected to Sungrow SBH or SBR battery models with different capacities and types
- Each inverter can only manage its own backup loads (LOAD outputs for priority loads cannot be connected in parallel)
- Retrofit configurations with existing PV systems are not possible
Sungrow SH 15 / 20 /25 T – three-phase hybrid inverter
The SH-T three-phase hybrid inverter is the most powerful solution among Sungrow’s hybrid inverters and is an excellent solution for commercial and industrial systems that require storage.

Versatile Full-Backup
This inverter has a dedicated output for priority loads, which remains powered in the event of a disconnection from the grid. The switching time is extremely fast: under 10 ms. In backup mode, the inverter offers very high peak power, reaching 36500 VA for 10 seconds for the SH25T model, providing the inrush current needed to start electric motors, pumps and HVAC systems.
Compatible batteries
The inverter is compatible with high-voltage lithium batteries, from Sungrow and BYD. For example, with the Sungrow SBH100-400 series batteries, towers of up to 40 kWh can be connected. This flexibility allows the system to be adapted to the specific energy needs of the end user, ensuring a sustainable and economical energy supply.
Integrated monitoring
This inverter is shipped with the WiNet-S2 module and the Smart Energy Meter already in the package: everything you need to operate and monitor the system is already included!
The Sungrow iSolarCloud platform offers advanced monitoring features and allows real-time control of the system performance, facilitating the management and maintenance of the photovoltaic system.
