Huawei FusionCharge DC is an innovate solution for electric vehicles ultra-fast charging (EV) designed to provide performance, reliability and flexibility. It is a centralized system, where power conversion takes place within the Power Unit, while the dispensers handle the connection with the vehicles and interact with the user for authentication and charging initiation.
This approach allows for more efficient power management especially in situations where the available grid power is limited. Additionally, since power conversion occurs in the Power Unit rather than in the dispensers, noise levels near the charging point are significantly reduced.
FusionCharge Power Unit: 600kW and 240kW
The FusionCharge Power Unit represents the central core of the system and features an innovative liquid cooling system to ensure maximum performance.
The maximum power output is of 600kW with a voltage ranging between 200V and 1000V DC and a maximum current per connector of 500 A.
One the most advanced features from the Power Unit is the Power Sharing Matrix, which allows for dynamic and intelligent power distribution among multiple connected dispensers.
This system ensures optimal use of the available power at the site, adapting the assignment of power modules based on the actual request of each vehicle, improving system efficiency and reducing charging time.
Two Power Unit models are available, with power ratings of 600 kW and 240 kW.
Dispenser: Liquid Cooled and Boost
The dispensers are the energy delivery points for vehicles and come in two models, both designed to offer high performance and maximum compatibility:
- Liquid Cooled dispenser: equipped with a single CCS connector and a liquid-cooled cable, allowing ultra-fast charging with a nominal output of 425kW.
- Boost dispenser: featuring two CCS connectors, it provides simultaneous charging for two vehicles and can deliver a nominal power of 373Kw per connector.
Thanks to their modularity, the dispensers can be combined in different configurations with the Power Unit, managing up to 12 CCS connectors for the 600Kw Power Unit version.
