Specifically, Sungrow’s solutions include the PowerStack ST225kWh-110kW-2h and ST455kWh-110kW-4h, with capacities of 229 kWh and 458 kWh, respectively.
Technical specifications
The batteries charge and discharge at a C-rate of 0.5C or 0.25C via a dedicated 110 kW PCS.
This solution features the Modbus communication protocol, allowing the implementation of non-standard operating logics, even through third-party EMS systems, making the product highly flexible in its usage.
These all-in-one, liquid-cooled storage systems are integrated into an enclosure with IP55 protection rating and C3 anti-corrosion properties.
Each unit is delivered pre-commissioned from the factory, minimizing on-site installation work.
Cooling System
The battery cooling system is liquid-based, ensuring uniform heat dissipation and maintaining a maximum temperature difference of less than 2.5°C between cells. Meanwhile, the PCS uses a forced-air cooling system.
Thanks to this technology, PowerStack units can be installed without separation spaces, optimizing the use of available area. Up to 10 units can be connected per installation.
Fire Protection System
The system also includes a fire protection system featuring:
- a flammable gas detector
- a smoke detector
- a heat detector, which, if necessary, uses FK5112 gas to extinguish fires
- audible and remote alarms via the monitoring system
AI & Monitoring
The integrated AI technology ensures cell health monitoring with real-time alerts, managing thermal runaway at PACK, RACK, and PCS levels with three-level overcurrent protection.
The system includes remote monitoring via the web or iSolarCloud app, providing real-time data and alerts for quick issue analysis and resolution. Additionally, remote software updates are possible, reducing O&M and labor costs.
