Treviso May 24. Aviem, a company belonging to the Tadiran Group, to which VP Solar is also a member, has entered into a strategic contract with a major player for the supply of storage systems of about 600MWh for a total amount of more than $130 million.
Aviem’s important achievement is the result of the company’s experience (operating for more than 50 years) and leadership position in the field of emergency power systems (UPS), frequency converters, stand-alone systems, and battery charging (including for electric cars).
The storage systems provided by Tadiran Group will support photovoltaic systems for the Israeli power grid and for micro-grid projects in the country; in addition to the supply, Aviem will also provide service related to the storage systems, including preventive maintenance for a period of 5 years.
Moshe Mamrud, CEO and major shareholder of Tadiran, said that “We are proud to cooperate with a strategic partner in a market with huge potential like the storage market. The aim of Tadiran was, and still is, to create a complete solution for all those who need energy storage. We will also continue to work to locate business and cooperation opportunities in the energy market over the coming year.”
“This important achievement,” says Eng. Stefano Loro, CEO of VP Solar, “demonstrates Tadiran Group’s international leadership position in storage systems and photovoltaics.”
Clients who rely on the Group’s services will be able to rely not only on the Group’s expertise, services and professionalism, but also on the competitiveness and availability of integrated international logistics products and services, thanks to the investments planned for the coming years and the synergies offered by the Tadiran Group.
